A family is looking for…

The Nicoli Family

Family Development & Household Manager

Palm City, Florida

Help shape the future of an incredible little boy while becoming an important part of our family's story.

A recruiting story written by a 7-year-old—with a little help from his parents.

Palm City, Florida

An invitation into a meaningful long-term role with a family.

We're not writing a job posting so much as an introduction. This page is our attempt to say hello, honestly and completely, to the person we hope becomes part of our family for many years.

A letter

Dear Future Friend,

Hi.

My name is Logan.

I'm almost 7 years old, and my mom said I'm old enough to help write this because we're looking for someone really important.

We're not looking for someone to simply pick me up from school.

We're hoping to find someone who wants to help me grow into a kind, confident, independent young man. Someone who might someday feel like family.

Maybe that's you.

Logan riding his bike on a sunny Palm City street

A little about me…

  • I'm all boy and love being outside.
  • If there are bugs to catch, puddles to splash in, lizards or frogs to chase, birds to feed, bikes to ride, or a pool to swim in… I'm probably already there waiting for you to come play with me!
  • I am really friendly, but we are still new here in Palm City and I haven't made a lot of new friends yet, so I need someone to take me to fun places and help me with that.
  • I ask lots of questions and like to make people laugh.
  • Sometimes I make loud noises because I get excited; usually a snuggle helps me feel better.
  • I had epilepsy and several brain surgeries when I was little. My seizures are gone now, but I'm still catching up in a few areas. My mom and dad say I'm one of the hardest workers they know. I like working hard when people tell my animals—my stuffies—how proud they are of me!
  • I like helping, especially when people slow down and teach me.
  • I want to learn to cook, fix things with my tools, learn Spanish, help in our garden, catch lizards, build forts, ride my bike, swim, help wash the car and someday make my own breakfast.
  • Mom says learning happens everywhere—not just at school. I think she's right.

I Think We'd Make a Great Team If…

  • You smile a lot.
  • You don't mind getting a little dirty.
  • You think kids should help make dinner instead of just eating it.
  • You'd rather go to the park, beach or on an adventure than sit inside watching TV.
  • You like organizing because it makes life feel peaceful.
  • You enjoy reading the same story or roleplaying my favorite scene from Home Alone.
  • You think Mickey Mouse is the coolest.
  • You aren't on your phone all day.
  • You're patient when I'm having a hard day.
  • You are compassionate to my needs but also believe kids can do hard things and never stop pushing me to grow and improve.
  • You're looking for more than “just another job.”

Love,
Logan—and Mom & Dad

From Mom & Dad

A Note from Mom & Dad

We know this is different.

That's intentional.

We're not looking for a babysitter or someone to simply supervise after school. We're searching for a Family Development & Household Manager—someone who wants to help shape the future of an incredible little boy while helping our home run with calm, purpose and intention.

We believe the right person may already have a wonderful career and may not even be looking for a new opportunity.

If that's you, we hope you'll keep reading.

Sometimes the best opportunities find us when we least expect them.

We hope this becomes one of those rare relationships where, years from now, you're still stopping by for birthdays, celebrating milestones with us and Logan proudly introduces you as someone who helped shape the person he became.

The everyday

What Success Looks Like

  • Logan trying new things because someone believes in him.

  • Dinner already started because you planned ahead.

  • A home that feels calm, organized and peaceful.

  • Family laundry folded and put away.

  • Logan proudly helping make dinner instead of watching TV.

  • New Spanish words learned during everyday conversations.

  • Muddy shoes, wet clothes and a big smile after an afternoon outdoors.

  • A child becoming more independent and confident every month.

Helping Logan believe:

  • I am smart.
  • I am brave.
  • I am capable.
  • I can do hard things.
  • I have people around me who are proud of me and believe in me.
  • I learn something new every day.

This Role Is Probably for You If…

  • You naturally organize a room before leaving it.
  • You enjoy creating order where others see clutter.
  • You'd rather cook with a child than for a child.
  • You think a walk outside solves more problems than another hour of screen time.
  • You notice what needs to be done without being asked.
  • You enjoy planning and creating meaningful activities and adventures.

You leave people and places a little better than you found them.

Our values

What We Believe

  • Children learn by doing.
  • Nature is one of the best classrooms.
  • Cooking builds confidence.
  • Helping creates independence.
  • Organization creates peace.
  • Compassion and expectations can coexist.
  • Every child deserves people who believe in them.
  • Learning never stops.
  • Kindness matters.
  • The best teams can become family.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this primarily a childcare position?

No. Logan's safety and development are the highest priorities, but this is a combined child-development and household-management role. Cooking, laundry, organization, housekeeping and errands are meaningful parts of the position.

Is autism or ABA experience required?

It is strongly preferred but not mandatory for an exceptional candidate with relevant teaching, special-education, therapy or child-development experience.

Is Spanish required?

No, but Spanish fluency is strongly preferred because we would love for Logan—and eventually the family—to learn conversational Spanish through everyday interaction.

Can this become a full-time position?

Potentially. An exceptional candidate may have the opportunity to expand into a full-time position with benefits by combining family responsibilities with appropriate administrative support across our family businesses.

How often is overnight care required?

Approximately four to six times per year when both parents travel. Advance notice will normally be provided.

Is travel required?

Routine family travel is not required. Occasional opportunities to travel with the family may arise, but this is not expected to be a major part of the role.

How much cleaning is expected?

The person should be comfortable actively maintaining and organizing the home, including laundry, bed linens, kitchen cleanup, floors, bathrooms, general housekeeping and clutter reduction. A separate housekeeper may still be used, but candidates should not view household work as outside the role.

Can I bring my own activity ideas?

Yes. We specifically want someone who enjoys creating activities, adventures, systems and learning opportunities without waiting for detailed instructions.

Can I bring my child to work?

This is not part of the standard position. It may be considered selectively for an exceptional candidate when the arrangement is beneficial for Logan and does not interfere with the responsibilities of the role.
